12 APOSTLES

The Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road, about three hours from Melbourne. Limestone stacks rising out of the Southern Ocean, the timber boardwalk to the lookout, and waves rolling in white against the cliffs.

I photographed them in changing light, from soft cloud and stormy blue skies to golden late sun on the rock.

Visiting the Twelve Apostles? Go at sunrise or sunset. The light turns the limestone gold and the crowds are thinner.
